Waste Pickup

Please select your request type. You will be directed to the UTD Atlas Service Portal to access request forms. Waste pickups and deliveries occur within 7 business days of request submission.

DO NOT complete pickup forms for the removal of radioactive materials or DEA controlled substances from your lab/space. For disposal of these items, please contact environment@utdallas.edu for item-specific instructions.

Use this form to request pickup of biological wastes / waste containers, including biohazard sharps containers, red biohazard buckets containing red-bag waste, and Stericycle boxes (cardboard) or grey Stericycle bins (plastic) containing red-bag waste.

Use this form to request pickup of used/spent liquid, solid, or gaseous hazardous waste/laboratory waste that has been collected in approved waste containers, or chemical compounds that are no longer needed (in original containers). Please be prepared to identify the potential waste stream hazards, the individual waste components, and to quantify the specific constituents included as part of each waste stream. If you have “unknown” chemical waste, please reach out to environment@utdallas.edu and request a personal consultation prior to submitting a pickup request for the material.

Use this form to request pickup of UTD-managed Universal wastes.  Wastes picked up under this category are LIMITED to: Batteries (in battery recycling containers); Light Bulbs – CFL bulbs, HID bulbs, fluorescent lights, and UV lights (excludes incandescent); Used Oil; Aerosol Can; Used Paint (Non-latex ONLY); Pesticides; or Mercury Containing Equipment.

Use this form to request delivery of cardboard Stericycle boxes, grey plastic Stericycle bins, or red biohazard waste bags. Please note:  sharps collection containers are not provided – these items must be obtained through your PI/Responsible Party following your Unit’s procurement process.

Use this form to request delivery of used/spent hazardous materials supplies.  Available supplies are limited to: Green waste tag; White waste label; Yellow solid waste bag; 5-gallon carboy; 6-gallon solid waste bucket; 30-gallon drum (liquid waste); 55-gallon drum (secondary solid waste container); and 55-gallon drum (liquid waste).

Use this form to request the removal of more than 5 chemicals in their original containers.  Please leave the UTD barcodes on the containers.
